Confession time.....

I blogged a few months ago about how much i despise plenty of fish. if you haven't read it click here, i think i made my thoughts on pof pretty clear. Well, i created another one! I must be a glutton for punishment or something. haha. But, i think i'm going to delete it tonight when my 24 hour trial time is over. There are enough creeps in the world without me going online and finding them. This guy who i messaged back one time just to be nice, messaged me again and said " i really want to see you this weekend. i'll drive to your house. please say yes". WHAT? I don't know you, you don't know me. I'm certainly not giving some random creep my address. I like being alive and i like feeling safe. Why the heck would i intentionally put myself in danger? So, there it is. I have a plenty of fish. I swear i'm deleting it tonight though.

i know i've been slacking....

So here's the deal, about a week after I published my last blog i dropped my laptop and broke it! I only had big red ( yep, I named my laptop) for about 3 months when the accident happened. Yes, i'm well aware that has to be the dumbest/ most irresponsible thing i've ever done. I still can't believe that i broke it. No worries though! i'm ordering a new laptop in two weeks. I've got him all picked out and I found the perfect name too. My new laptop is going to be called.... RON WEASLEY! I have to pay homage to one of the best series of books ever. Plus, i think it'll be hilarious seeing the looks on peoples faces when i talk about my adventures with ron weasley. haha. Long story short, when ron comes in i'll finally stop being a neglectful blogger and get back to posting all the time.

Sunday Funday!

So I had a good day yesterday despite all the rain and the ever present tornado threat heading towards tipton county. I went to Jessica’s house and we attempted to make macarons ( or as we were call them macaron weasleys! lol). Mine were going to be vanilla and we decided to add food coloring to make them purple. They looked terrible! The color caused them to look like that purple goo from “the cat in the hat”, ya know the one with mike myers? So needless to say, my macarons did not get eaten. I ended up throwing the whole batch in the garbage. Now I know it sounds weird that I threw them away because they were ugly but, they didn’t good either! The recipe called for almond meal and we couldn’t find any in kroger so we decide to make our own almond flour. Which means my macarons were chunky because there were little-bitty pieces of almond going all through them. So the purple goo ones were a disaster. Jessica wanted hers to be chocolate with a dark chocolate ganache in the middle. The chocolate macarons turned out a little better and they actually looked like they were supposed to! But, the ganache was gross. Go figure. lol. After we had to take shelter in the closet because we just knew a tornado was coming, we decided to try and make cupcakes with a homemade buttercream frosting. Everyone knows that you’re only supposed to fill the cupcake papers halfway because the cupcake will rise while it bakes (jp didn’t and the cupcakes over flowed!). So we ended up with cupcakes that looked like mushrooms. lol. Our buttercream frosting came out a little too salty. I don’t know what was wrong with us yesterday but we were definitely off our baking game. haha. Despite, all of our culinary mishaps it was still a really fun day. We decided to try and cook actual food this weekend and not dessert. I think it’s best that we take a break from baking. I have no idea what we’re cooking this weekend but, I know that it’ll probably be something complicated! haha.

My Second Favorite Five Friday!

This is my second Favorite Five Friday blog. I'm extremely pleased with it. All my picks are SUPER cute, if i do say so myself! And yes, i realize that i have 3 articles of clothing on here but i figure since it's a vest, dress, and swimsuit i can use them all. This week has been crazy. Nevertheless, while I was out and about this week I came across a few things that I need. I plan on buying at least one thing off my list this weekend :)

1. a ruffle front vest with a cinched racer back. I love anything that is frilly and girly. this vest is the perfect combination of both. I found it at Maurices. I want one in white or pink (my signature colors. haha)

2. Wedge Sandals. These particular ones are paisley. They are super cute! I definitely want a pair of these. American Eagle also has a pair of brown gladiator sandals that I have been eyeing for a few weeks now. I may have to break down and buy those too!

3. Summer dresses! I am obsessed with zebra print on anything so this dress is perfect. It’s adorable. I’m always on the lookout for a lightweight, and comfortable dress. No one wants to burn up in the summertime.

4. Swimsuits! Is it really bathing suit season again? I cannot believe it’s almost summer. I can’t wait to get my summer tan! I plan to spend 95% of my time outside ( that is very unlike me so, we’ll see how long that resolution lasts. ha). I found the cutest halter top bathing suit from old navy. But, it’s a little pricey and since my mom said she would buy me a bathing suit I’m going to see if I can’t find something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.



5. Henry Cavill. Can a person even even be on this list? oh well, it’s my list anyway! lol. I have been obsessed with him for way too long. I first noticed him when played Melot in Tristan & Isolde. Ever since then, I have shamelessly watched nearly every movie and tv show that Henry does! He is such a doll. His new movie, The Immortals comes out this fall. I can’t wait! I forgot to mention that Kellan Lutz is in it too ;)

Wedding Daze

It seems like every time I turn on the tv or open my laptop there is new details about the royal wedding!Today it has been all over the place. Maybe it's because the wedding is tomorrow! Kate Middleton is one lucky girl. A fact that I'll bet is not lost on her. I know I have always dreamed of being a princess but, honestly who hasn’t? it’s every little girl’s dream. Even though I probably won’t marry royalty, that doesn’t mean that my wedding won’t be a fabulous event. I already have everything picked out. And I do mean EVERYTHING! haha. My wedding colors are white and pink. Here’s an idea of what I see my big day looking like:

The Dress: it’s no secret that the wedding dress is the most important thing on a girl’s wedding day. I have given a lot of though to my wedding dress and I want a ball gown. The bigger the better. lol.

 

It’s from Vera Wang’s new collection. It’s perfect! I even like the sash. I may have to buy that too! I have decided that I don’t want to wear a veil. I want to wear something sparkly in my hair.

My Bridesmaids’ dresses. I am not going to be a bridezilla that wants her wedding party to look terrible. I certainly don’t want someone who looks a mess standing next to me. haha.

and finally the perfect cake. in  keeping with tradition. it has to be covered with pink and white roses. I came across my dream wedding cake and I will definitely be holding on to this picture. I want this cake!

All right enough about weddings! I know everyone thinks I’m crazy but my wedding day will one of the most important days in my life. it has to be perfect.

Best Friends

Let’s face it, everyone has a best friend right? And if you don’t, I’m going to offer up a little advice from ‘Toy Story’. In the words if sheriff Woody, “if you don’t have one, get one”! They are seriously like gold. I don’t know about you but, I need a best friend and lucky for me I have been fortunate enough to listen to my crazy antics and my incessant worries and still wants to be my friend. Crazy right?  My best friend jessica and I have been friends since we were in the 8th grade. I’ll admit that I was a little hard on her when I first met her (she forgave me. I hope!). The summer right before our senior year is when we really became bffs. We have definitely reached that point in our friendship where we can be completely honest with each other. if we’re out shopping and she picks out a top that I don’t necessarily like I’ll tell her immediately that I don’t like it. She swears though I never like anything that she picks up. That’s not true! We just have completely different taste in clothes. She likes clothes that are primarily dark and neutral colors ( who is she victoria gotti? ha!). I prefer bright colors. Every one that has seen me knows that I’m usually in the color pink. That’s been my favorite color since I was old enough to talk. Old habits die hard right? But, despite our very different personalities we still somehow manage to have the most fun together.

We even had matching bangs! that really was an accident though. honest!

Before you judge our matching haircuts I wanted side-swepted bangs (which I have now….FINALLY!) and apparently to get them to sweep correctly I had to re-align the part in my hair. Hence, the bangs. I looked like Katerina Graham. I hated it. lol.  

Jessica thinks that we are just like Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster. I’ll admit that Gus and I share some eerily similar characteristics. lol. I think we’re more Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, ya know before their falling out.

I’ll admit at times that I may not be the best friend I can be. I try though. That’s all anybody can really do. Everyone deserves a confidant and someone that can listen to all your problems. Life’s hard enough. I can’t imagine trying to survive without an amazing support group. I definitely love my family and friends!

new hair cut….I think

So I have seriously been slacking on my blog posts. It’s been almost two weeks since my last one. I apologize. I’ll try to be more diligent about writing. I did find the time though to edit my blog. I found this website that has the cutest backgrounds! That’s the website that I plan on using from now on. So, now on to more important issues.

I have been trying to grow my hair for the last year or so (it’s almost been a year). Well everyone knows how hard it is to grow your hair. It’s a serious process and you have to be fully committed. This is not something for the faint-hearted (at least in my case anyway). I tend to get frustrated and annoyed. My hair has good days bad days but, I swear the bad days come more than the good. I’m not a patient person and I’m not gonna lie part of me expected to wake and have my hair look like Kourtney Kardashian’s. The Kardashian’s have the prettiest hair! ugh. they make me sick. lol.

Now I know that is a ridiculous notion but, I can dream right? All right, well now I have done a complete 180. I’m think now that I want to cut it all off. Now for those of you who don’t know, my hair is somewhere in-between medium-long and long. But it’s the longest I’ve ever let it get. I used to want my hair to fall to my shoulders, ALWAYS. It never failed.  I would always get the same haircut. Now I’m due for a trim but, I think I want more than that. I’m thinking Tori Spelling’s short hair is the way to go. Summer is approaching and I don’t necessarily want to walk in the summer heat with a cloak of black hair. My hair holds in heat, it’s ridiculous. Short hair is sounding so perfect right now.

I just love tori. and her hair always looks so cute!

I honestly don’t know what I want. I know that I will probably freak out if my hair EVER is as short as tori’s. But, I’m tired of waiting on my hair to grow out. It still amazes me that hair only grows a half-inch a month. Really? if that’s the case then my hair will be the perfect length by the time I’m forty! I don’t want to wait twenty years. haha.
